At the heart of the community with Jesus at the centre.
The death of a loved one can be a difficult time for all concerned, as Christians we believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ we have hope, and cause for thanksgiving in the face of death.
As with all 'occasional offices', the Church wants to be there for those who grieve, to support those concerned and to pray for those who have faced the realities of death.
We would generally suggest that your first port of call when arranging a funeral would be with a Funeral Director, there are a number around the local area. If you would like a service to take place in our Church building, please mention this to the funeral director and ask them to make contact with our Minister, the Revd Leigh Maydew.
If you would prefer a service to happen directly at a Crematorium or graveside, but still wish a religious service, Leigh would also be available to help you with this process too, again just mention to the funeral director of your choice.
Leigh will always do his best to ensure that the funeral service is personal and reflects the life that is being celebrated.
As with weddings, generally there will be a cost connected with funerals, either at Church or elsewhere, however we would also want to support you at this difficult time in whatever way we can.
